Product Description
You can prepare appetizing, nutritious meals at the speed of light with this new InfraWave Oven. Cooks up to 50% faster with no pre-heating. It uses infrared radiation to cook the food, allowing for faster cooking times more similar to microwaves than ovens. It has a capacity of 0.7 cu. ft, a digital touch pad, a digital display and a slide out crumb tray. The especially unique aspects of the InfraWave are its ability to 'know' how to cook your food based on the settings you choose. It's energy efficient and toasts on the outside like an oven at the speed of a microwave. Ability to cook from frozen without the inconvenience of having to thaw. Amazing cooking tool. Has 52 digital pre-settings for one-touch ease. Includes two trays, a slide rack and a handle to pull the trays out.

This is a great product! I had a regular toaster oven which was only used for toast. Now I can no so much more with the Infrawave Oven. I baked cookies that turned out beautiful. The reheat feature is wonderful, makes leftovers as good as new!

We purchased this Infrawave oven about a week ago. I was skeptical, but hopeful, based on the user reviews that I read prior to purchase. When we took the oven out of the box, I sat down and read the instructions and perused the sample foods list for each of the settings. I have tried heating frozen chili, reheating cold Bolognese sauce, cooking frozen chicken tenders, french fries and pizza rolls, made toast, bagels, frozen pastries, baked homemade sausage rolls, heated garlic bread and roasted sweet potatoes and butternut squash. It performed each of these tasks perfectly! I have not turned on my "big" oven since we took this out of the box. It cooks all of the items listed in half the time, or less, than the traditional oven and there is NO preheating time. I am totally impressed. I have not found the tray difficult to clean, thus far. I do recommend that you read the directions and keep the cooking guide close at hand. I can't wait to get my electric bill at the end of the month and see the savings!! I am buying one of these for my parents for Christmas. It is FANTASTIC!

The free delivery was quick. When I lifted the oven out of the box, I broke the 10 inch plastic strip that was taped right behind it. I checked the book but couldn't find a part number for it. I think it's a heat shield for the handle? When I started it up the tray handle that I had laid on top of the unit started getting tacky from the heat. So, why am I not sending it back? Because I'm losing weight as we speak. Why am I giving it 5 stars? Because I'm on a low carb diet and this thing changes everything; namely, it works well, cleanup means rinsing the tray, no defrosting so I can buy cheaper frozen meats, and it's fast and easy. Ed

I hope I can write this without insulting most of the people who gave it a bad review... If you bought this oven thinking it was going to be a "Magical Cooking Box", you were guaranteed to be disappointed. You won't fit whole turkeys in it, it won't make your hockeypuck biscuits fluffy, and it isn't so quick it makes your clocks run backwards when you use it. It is however, perfect for baking small items when you don't need the big oven. It is proving itself to be a little faster then a conventional oven, but I don't buy the way B&D counts lack of pre-heating a time saved. Preheating time is almost always "Prep-Time". It is a considerable time-saver with frozen food however, if you discount thawing time. I have used it for frozen chicken breasts, and their claims hold up on that one. Be a little patient with it, and expect to have to alter your cooking times somewhat. I would say it seems to cut baking/roasting times by maybe 20%. It does do an EXCELLENT job of browning/crisping. A plate of perfectly toasted nachos takes less than two minutes. My toaster is now a paperweight, and my microwave works part time, because for re-heating leftovers, this thing kicks butt. I was leary of buying this because of some reviews about how hot the unit gets, but I find it negligable. It sits right next to my range, and even after an hour of nearly continuous use, wont kick the exhaust fan on. (my conventional oven will kick it on after a half hour or so) It does smell a little bit when you first use it, it goes away after the first couple of times you use it. I guess some people are more sensitive than others. All in all, if you posess a little common sense, read a little bit first, and aren't in need of culinary miracles, you'll be quite pleased with this countertop oven.
