I did not read customer reviews prior to my purchase, and am glad that I did not, for my thinking would have been distorted. It has toasted and baked items beautifully, without problem. I am yet to have any problems with buttons, and am happy with the product. I would definitely purchase another one. I've had mine for about four years. Mostly bread and bagels. I've never had a problem with it. Nothing's broken off and nothing buzzes. Maybe I've just been lucky? If you treat it well this toaster oven will be the most responsive, accurate and convenient appliance in your kitchen. I have had the predecessor model to this one for 10 years or more, and never had a problem with it until a friend dropped it on cement while I was moving. Even then, the only thing that broke was the hinge on the door! I sold my old one in a garage sale (still working), and replaced it with this new one. It's almost exactly the same, and I look forward to another 10 or more years with it. What is all the guff about? It is compact, yet big enough to bake plenty of food in, it warms up quick, and you can mount it under your cabinets to save counter-space. I am glad I did not review the reviews first. I bought it in the store and it was the cheapest one there! I just hope my toggle switch does not break.
